EPFL Changemakers

The Changemakers program at EPFL is a 12-week initiative aimed at helping participants bring their innovative ideas to life. It combines design thinking, teamwork, and effective communication workshops, along with personal coaching. This program is all about practical learning and leadership development, encouraging students to implement their projects beyond classroom theory.

This is the 2023 cohort I've been part of!

During the weekly workshops in the Changemakers program, I focused on refining my startup idea with my co-founder within the travel industry. Initially, my concept aimed to automate the process of finding travel deals, leveraging my personal expertise in securing attractive offers. However, I pivoted towards a more sustainable model, still centered on deal discovery, but with a focus on optimizing ground transportation in Europe. This new direction led to the first development of a comprehensive platform, integrating trains, night trains, buses, and carpooling to offer the most efficient itineraries, addressing a current gap in the market.

The Changemakers program journey involved a bootcamp on leadership, sessions to understand users and refine pitching skills, design and testing phases for solutions, development of leadership, focus on sustainability, feedback sessions for project viability, MVP planning, and concluded with an award ceremony to recognize achievements.
